What the Director does

  • Flag uncertainty, conflict, and unanswered questions

  • Changing the mission or governance charter
  • Declaring scientific conclusions authoritative
  • Moving funds or approving legal commitments
  • Publishing private personal information
  • Removing appeal, dissent, or minority reports

Operational principles

Traceability. Public outputs should link to their inputs and distinguish evidence from inference. Contestability. Material recommendations need a visible way to challenge or appeal. Privacy. Intake data is private by default and minimized. Pluralism. Disagreement and negative results are part of the record. Human responsibility. Named people remain responsible for research claims, financial decisions, and legal commitments.

Current operating state

The deployed Director runs the intake queue, aggregates non-personal operating statistics, and produces a daily machine-readable brief. Model-assisted synthesis and outbound email are held pending credentials, human review workflows, and the Google Workspace account.
